Maureen McNichols, Ed. S, LPC

Maureen is a licensed clinical professional counselor with 20 years experience in a variety of educational and clinical settings. She has advanced training and certifications in working with individuals and couples/relationship issues utilizing the Internal Family Systems model of therapy. She has also completed advanced couples training in the “Intimacy from the Inside Out Model” of couples counseling. Maureen is known for creating a safe and collaborative place for her clients to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviors that have developed as a way to handle life's difficult or traumatic experiences. Her belief is that all clients have at their core a centered, confident place that when accessed frees them to lead their lives more courageously and peacefully. Clients learn how to access their inner strength and access it to guide them in leading a more balanced, enjoyable life. She feels that through the development of these skills, individuals can be empowered to deal with life's daily challenges in a more effective way. Maureen's clinical practice includes the treatment of couples and individuals. Her areas of interest include working with individuals with anxiety and depression, women's issues, relationship issues and life transitions. She also conducts workshops including “Women and Their Inner Bully” and “Communication Issues for Couples.”
